Long time no post

I realize it is almost Thanksgiving and that Halloween is now but a distant memory. I also realize it has been more than 2 months since our last post - bad...very bad...I promise to be better. Now that I am no longer crippled by morning sickness, we should see the blog posts increase.

My parents came out to visit at the end of October. Dad, Jeff and Liam made the trip to Ganyard farms to pick out pumpkins, ride on the tractor, and run through the hay maze.

Just a cute picture of Noah playing ball - his favorite thing to do outside.

Liam was a Red Ranger (Power Ranger for those of you not in-the-know). And Noah was Superman for about 45 minutes...

Post-trick or treating, waiting for the late-comers to trick or treat. This may have been one of the highlights of Liam's night.

Or this was...hard to say...

Pizza and juice in the cul-de-sac before trick or treating started.

Noah Walking

He's been walking for about 2 weeks now, but it took me awhile to get these posted, sorry for the delay.

Noah turns 1!!

I can't believe it has been a year already. We had Grandma and Grandpa over as well as our friends Amy and Robert Enochs and their daughter Sophia.

Noah "riding" his new truck...

Excited about the new book...

Winnie the Pooh cake - Liam insisted we have decorations, I don't think Noah noticed...This was, however, an allergen-free - dairy-free, egg-free, and nut-free - homemade cake!

Liam and Sophia waiting for dinner...
...and the video...yes, he did eat some cake!

Liam's 5th Birthday Party - Celebration #3

The 3rd and final birthday party for this 5 year old. It was held on July 19th, thankfully it didn't rain, despite weather reports to the contrary. As Jeff put it, he can ride a 5 hour bike ride and feel pretty good afterwards, but a 5 year old's party - he was whipped. We both were (but I would also be whipped after a 5 hour bike ride).

The cake...a homemade race track cake, in keeping with the "Hot Wheels" theme...

Liam tested out the water slide, borrowed from our friends.

Grandma was on Noah duty for the duration of the party.

Jeff ran the pinata event ...

California Trip

This is a little out of order - we got back from CA on July 6th after a very very very long day at various airports. We had a wonderful time in California and we miss everyone already - we can't wait for our next visit.

Papa and I took the boys to train town and both had a great time!

Liam didn't want to leave the train when we stopped at the little town, I think he was afraid the train would leave without him or that he would lose his seat on the train. At any rate, it took a lot of coaxing to get him to venture out and even then, it was only for a few minutes.

Noah chilling out with some cheerios waiting for Liam to finish on the airplane ride.

This took several attempts, but he finally braved it. He chose NOT to raise the airplane up in the air...baby steps...
Grammy and Noah spending some quality time together.

The first of 3 birthday celebrations for Liam. We have recently told him his birthday is officially over...after a month of celebration. He is 5 years old now. Now he keeps asking when he will be 6...

Noah's favorite spot - inside the toy cabinet. There are no toys in it because he has chucked them all over the living room.

The 2nd birthday celebration for Liam - this time with cousins Ali and Joshi, and Papa Jack and Grammy Dink (Jeff's grandparents).

We had a visit from some dear family friends, the Hawkins. Liam and Marron enjoyed these water shooters.

With Dede and our children. We've known each other since we were almost 3 years old.

Uncle Stefan and Noah.

An afternoon and Papa Jack and Grammy Dink's house.

4th of July on the Sonoma Plaza. Doesn't he look happy?

Ali and Lindsay took good care of Noah on the 4th of July. Lindsay is the daughter of my old babysitter, Sheri. She was visiting her grandparents who live next door to my parents.
Front row seats at the parade. It was vicious out there, trying to get a spot to watch the parade. Again...doesn't Liam look so happy?
